Bringing Bhutan Food & Culture to Bangkok

Bhutan Kitchen is a passion project fueled by the love for a unique and delicious cuisine. At the helm is Mr Suriya, a dedicated individual who wears two hats: a staff for Druk Air flying to and from the Kingdom and the proud owner of Bhutan Kitchen.

Mr Suriya’s love affair with Bhutan began during his travels as a crew at Druk Air. Soaring over the majestic Himalayan mountains and experiencing the rich culture firsthand sparked a deep appreciation for the country. But it was the food that truly captured his heart. The bold flavors, the comforting stews, the explosion of tastes and textures…the datshi – Bhutanese cuisine offered a world beyond anything he’d known.

Driven by a desire to share this cuisine with his fellow Thais, Mr Suriya embarked on a mission to bring Bhutanese food to Bangkok. So he found the Chef of the renowned Little Bhutan, which sadly closed during the covid period. And with that Bhutan Kitchen was born where he offers a taste of Bhutan, a chance for diners to experience the unique flavors he fell in love with during his travels.

So, next time you order from Bhutan Kitchen, remember, you’re not just indulging in a delicious meal – you’re embarking on a culinary journey inspired by Mr Suriya’s love for the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
